A little about me...

Born and raised in the windy city of Chicago, Alva Sachs has found herself transplanted across the country to Calabasas, California. She earned her Bachelor of Science of Education at the University of Illinois and a Masters of Education at Northern Illinois University. As an educator, speaker, and consultant, Alva created Three Wishes Publishing Company. Her very own success story can be seen in her award-winning children’s picture books: Circus Fever, I’m 5, and On Your Mark, Get Set, Go! Patricia Krebs, Alva’s illustrator, makes the stories come alive with detail, color, and character personalities that the young readers love! Alva’s mission has been to get children to love reading at an early age for no reason at all. Discover, imagine, and experience reading for the fun of it! As a Board Member of Reading Is Fundamental of So Cal, Alva continues to work for children and literacy to help build home libraries for underserved children in the greater Los Angeles area. Alva's presentation vary depending on the size, age, and scope of what the teacher is requesting. She can do power point presentations, small class, and combined classes of age appropriate skills. She enjoys getting children to become involved with writing and reading.

About my fees...

Alva's fee structure is determined by the individual school and herself. This is an agreement and contract that is collaborated by the author and school, teacher, or organization requesting her appearance. Discounts for mulitple schools in a district can be discussed.

I'm willing to travel...

Alva enjoys traveling to various states providing her out of town expenses are covered and agreed upon by the school and herself. If multiple schools in a district work together their are discounts for author fee presentations.
